Approximately 8 inches thick, the core blends a 6-inch firm latex layer with a 2-inch medium layer for balanced support and a touch more plush feel. It is encased in chemical-free French wool quilted to a soft outer fabric woven from long-staple cotton. The latex core is mold- and dust-mite resistant, while the wool wicks moisture, regulates temperature, and provides a natural flame barrier without chemical retardants. The wool is pre-compressed to retain loft, and the design allows a flexible box spring with added center support. This setup works well on slat platforms and adjustable bed bases.
