Frequently asked questions
What makes the Obasan Grand Dunlop Latex Mattress feel different from other latex beds?
It features a 2" soft top layer over multi-zoned comfort layers with a choice of a medium or firm lower base, plus a 3.5" wool and rubber topper. This combination is designed to provide strong pressure relief and targeted support across the body.
Who would benefit most from this Obasan Grand Dunlop Latex Mattress?
It’s designed to suit a range of body types and sleep positions, with customizable lower layers and a pressure-relieving topper, making it suitable for adults seeking balanced comfort and support.
How is the mattress constructed to support long-term use?
The mattress uses 14 inches of organic Dunlop latex in a multi-zone construction, with a firm base and a center section divided into three zones for feet, hips, and shoulders, plus an inner topper system to maintain cushioning and alignment.
What materials are used and how do they affect care and temperature?
It uses 100% GOLS-certified Dunlop organic latex, a GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey cover with organic wool, and a wool/rubber topper. The wool and cotton help regulate temperature, and care involves spot cleaning the outer cover and avoiding water exposure.
How do I set up or position this mattress for best results?
Place it on an Obasan foundation or solid wood slats with 1–4 inch wide slats spaced up to 3 inches apart, and ensure a middle support for larger sizes. Let the layers breathe properly and avoid getting the mattress wet.
What makes the topper and multi-zone layers important for comfort?
The 2" soft top reduces surface pressure points, while the center 4" and top 2" layers create zone-specific cushioning from head to toe, enhancing pressure relief and individualized support across the body.
